2013 was a big year for electronics and it seems like 2014 will only continue to impress.
According to an article on The Economic Times website, here are some highlights from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week.
Curved televisions and smartphones. I had previously wrote a blog post about Samsung’s new design of a curved smartphone. Well it seems like it was one of the more interesting things to be released in the smartphone sector. This also transcended to the television industry as some monitors will also feature a slight curve.
Ford Motor Company also showed off its design for a solar power car that definitely turned some heads. Ford will be introducing over 20 new models throughout the world during 2014. It is only a matter of time before this solar powered car hits the road and draws attention from consumers all over the planet. Renewable energy has been shaking up the industry for years now. With the electric cars at Tesla and now a solar car at Ford, it will be interesting to see where the automotive industry continues in coming years. It seems like competition is increasing quickly.
3D printing continues to be an advanced industry because pretty much anything can be printed. Consumer printers will soon become more commonplace as companies are developing more affordable models. Will we eventually see a 3D printer in every household in five years? It sure seems possible.
